KRISTINE COFFMAN

CO-FOUNDER OF RESILIENT ONE

Why did you start Resilient One?

"After years of being in ministry and part of the Church, I found that not enough platforms truly celebrate the leadership and potential that God has placed within every woman. Everyday, I work with women who have suffered from horrific abuse of every kind, and I get to watch God fully restore them in the same ways that He has restored and transformed me. Being a victim of every kind of abuse myself, I hope to be a living testimony of God's incredible and redeeming love. Regardless of our story, we all carry deep wounds that hold us back from our callings. I wanted to start RO to empower women and let them know that nothing has disqualified them from fulfilling their purpose, and that they are called to pursue Jesus and make an impact for His kingdom.

What are your dreams for this initiative?

"The deepest burden of my heart is that women of every age and ethnicity would fully walk in their identity and embrace the intentional calling that God has placed on their lives. I believe that through worship and serving comes deep healing that God is longing to give. I am humbled to be on this journey and to see other women join with us in embracing how resilient we truly are."

ANDREA WAKIM

CO-FOUNDER OF RESILIENT ONE AND MEDIA SPECIALIST

Why did you start Resilient One?

"As a young woman working in a male dominated field, I have felt and watched other talented female peers feel ineffective in their roles both within the secular world and within the church. After interning with a documentary called Dream, Girl, a film highlighting female entrepreneurs, I realized that I wanted to tell the stories of heroic women doing radical mission. I want to use my experience in media to serve women through helping them share their stories of redemption and finding their purpose. My hope is that through RO, women would be inspired by our stories and feel compelled to go out and make an impact in their own cities."

What are your dreams for this initiative?

"My dream is that every woman would see our stories, specifically women who have experienced any form of abuse, and feel redeemed and encouraged to use their gifts to walk out their calling. I hope to use my passion for film to tell the stories of women who are continuing to pursue their goals and mission regardless of their past
